"Best Petite Sirah I've had in Decades" - Wining & Dining Magazine - May 2006
A descendant from the Rhone Valley in France, this grape is now grown predominantly in California. The word "petite" in its name is very much a misnomer, as these wines are anything but small. They tend to be big, bold, muscular wines. Ours is even bigger! It is inky dark and very rich, and has quickly become our signature grape. Goes well with everything, but is definitely not a breakfast drink.

"Highly recommended" - Wining & Dining Magazine -May 2006
A native of the Rhone Valley, this grape now flourishes all over the world. "Down Under", it's known as Shiraz. This grape is made in many styles, from light, crisp and fruity to dark, heavy and earthy. Ours is definitely of the latter style. This is a wine that goes well not only with meats, but can also be paired with fish and fowl.

The most Californian of grapes, Zinfandel's roots are thought to be Italian or Croatian. Zinfandel tends to be a very fruit forward wine, but it is also a hearty wine with plenty of structure. Ours is made in a 'big' style, which tends to be a little high in alcohol, but makes up for it with loads of fruit and an incredible color. Goes great when paired with the all American foods such as pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs and Cheerios.

Like the name implies, this is our "Impossible Dream" - our quest to make a very special wine. We also refer to this wine as our "Flagship Wine." It is a meritage, a blending of our best barrels, and will vary from year to year so as to achieve the most elegant style of wine we can make.

This is a special blend, which will vary from year to year, but will always be Petite Sirah based. This is a wine that is smooth and easy to drink (where it derived its name from) and is made in the style that it will go well anywhere, anytime, with anyone.

Our dessert wine, named after our granddaughter who was born the day we were bottling the wine. For both the 2004 & 2005 vintages, we used our Cabernet grapes. Most growers will pick all their Cabernet grapes to make into table wine; we let a little stay on the vines until the sugar level in the grapes was over the top. We stopped the fermentation with about 7% residual sugar in the wine. The result was an incredible, late harvest cabernet dessert wine that sold out in the first 60 days after it was released. Don't miss it!
Port
Like our Sophie dessert wine, this comes from the same late harvest Cabernet grapes to which we have blended in a little Petite Sirah and Zinfandel, and then added a very special brandy made from Merlot grapes. The result is a mellow, smooth, rich port, and one that is very drinkable now.
